aqui vemos unas grabados en los mangos de mis navajas...con un cuchillo pequeno hago primero un vaciado en el mango, despues lo rejeno con goma laca...estos trabajos suelen ser encargos.
here we see some engraving in the wooden parts of my knifes...with a small knife i work out the picture first and then i fill it up with "goma laca"(is the material of the old records,LP's)...this normally are works on request.
hier sehen wir einige der gravurarbeiten, mit denen ich manche taschenmessergriffen gestalte, erst arbeite ich die muster mit einen kleinen messer heraus, um sie dann mit schelllack aufzufuellen. dies sind meist auftragsarbeiten.

here are some of the knifes which i'm making know, the blades are made from staneless steal and the wood are different kinds, like "erika, palo santo, granadillo and boj"(sorry i don't know the english names)

Cuando un aprendiz ha estado aprendiendo en el taller de un maestro debe hacer un clavo a su gusto y clavarlo en la viga central. Este es el clavo que hice en el Mazo de Fritz en Mazonovo.
If you where like a studend in a workshop you should make a nail and leave it in the central structure of the workshop. Here in this foto you see the nail which i made in the Mazo de Fritz in Mazonovo en Asturias.

En el invierno 2008 participe en un curso sobre "la elaboracion de navajas tradicionales" en Santalla de Ozcos, Asturias, ahi hice mis primeras dos navajas que salen en la foto . Las hojas son de acero de carbono(0,6) y los mangos de "brezo".
In winter 2008 i took part in a curse of "elaboration of traditional knifes" in Santalla de Ozcos, Asturias. Here i made my first 2 knifes which we see here in this foto. The edges are from carbon steal and the wooden part from "erica".
Im Winter 2008 nahm ich an einem Kurs zur "Herstellung von traditionell gefertigten Taschenmessern" in Santalle de Ozcos, Asturien teil. Dort fertigte ich meine ersten zwei Taschenmesser, welche auf dem Foto zu sehen sind. Die Klingen sind aus Kohlenstoffstahl und die Griffe aus dem Holz des Heidekrauts.

esta es la fragua en la cual caliento los hierros y aceros, para transformar los a golpe de martillo en el yunque. aqui el fuego esta preparado para "el recocido" de las hojas forjadas.
this is the firerplace where i head up the iron and steal, for  transform it with the help of my hammer  and anvil. here the fire is prepared for the "recocido" of the forged knifeedges.
Das ist die Esse in welcher ich Eisen und Stahl erhitzte, um es dann mit meinem Hammer auf dem Amboss umzuformen. Hier ist das Feuer vorbereitet für das "Weichkochen" der geschmiedeten Klingen.
